While I was playing around on Polyvore last week, I came across this covet, the House of Harlow 1960 Tribal Cuff ($220).  I think this is a beautiful stand-out piece and great way to include the tribal trend into your wardrobe without doing too much.  It’s gold plated enamel and I think my favorite aspect of this cuff is the width.  Can’t you just imagine it with a maxi dress and sky-high clogs?  Heaven.

I can’t remember the first time I heard about dry shampoo, but I couldn’t wrap my mind around the concept of not using water.  And how a spray can get rid of oils.  But after reading that it does work, I would try anything to save me time in the hair department.  Why wouldn’t I want to buy some time in between hair appointments, right?

After asking around, reading reviews, and doing some google searches, I landed on Ojon Rub-Out Dry Cleanser ($24).  I contacted them and they gladly sent over a free bottle, along with other goodies!

So the common complaint with dry shampoos is that it leaves hair looking a bit gray/ashy.  My hair color is naturally black,so that was a major concern for me.  As usual, I sprayed it on my hand first, just cause that’s what I do with all products that come in a spray can.  I don’t know why.

Next, I tried it where it is supposed to be used, on my hair.  I shook the can for a full minute, as the can says to do. Sectioned my hair, sprayed it on the scalp as well as hair, rubbed it out, and voila, oil gone.  It wasn’t ashy at all.  Having excess oil is a big problem for me.  After a certain time my hair gets oily before my next appointment.  I like how I can now use this to control the oil until my time in the chair comes. In addition to helping with the oil, it cleans the hair from all the styling product use.

It’s enriched with Amazonian White Clay, Silk Powder, Rice and Potato starches, which removes oil and residue, leaving hair with more volume at the roots.I got the below information from the Ojon website:

The shaking of the can is a good mini workout for the arms!

I was on the hunt for the perfect Skinny Cargo for a good price, and the ones I kept seeing while out shopping the malls and such were $150 plus for J Brand, and other premium brands.  I’m just not trying to drop mula like that for some skinny cargo pants. So I surfed the net to find a really hot looking pant for a fraction of the price.

I stumbled upon these at Delia’s.  I know.  don’t laugh at me but they’re REALLY cute!  And they’re only $49.50!  So weeks ago I decided to order them, but they were back-ordered so I basically reserved them, and didn’t have to pay for them up front.

But funny thing happened, I was at Target and found these puppies for $21.99! I instantly fell in love.  They were soft and my butt looked amazing. The only thing it doesn’t have are the zippers on the sides, and it’s not a cigarette cut, but all in all they’re still super! So of course, I canceled my Delia’s order and purchased them from Target.  I’ve been wearing them with flip flops, chic clogs, and flats.  And they can be dressed up or down.

Pros: Super comfortable;  makes your booty look fab;  great price;  great fit;  can be paired with almost anything

Cons: no zippers!

Just when I thought I was going to leave Chase Bank, Rahiel shares a link with me that possibly changed my life.  No I’m kidding, but when I found out that I could take a picture of a check on my iPhone through my Chase application, and deposit directly in my checking account in a matter of seconds without ever leaving the house, I had to give it a chance.  I couldn’t believe this could be my opportunity to never have to visit the bank again!

I was very skeptical.  I just didn’t believe that it would deposit my check the next day!  So on Friday, I decided to give it a try. I followed these simple directions given below:

I found this Gourmet Lip Gloss ($17) in the gift bag from the Beauty Rebellion Project launch party! Don’t you love when there are products in a goodie bag that you can use? I pulled it out and wasn’t sure how it would turn out. The apple in the logo kind of threw me off. I was expecting to smell a bakery, or it to have an apple scent with the accompanying sticky feeling.  It was the complete opposite.I put it on and my lips literally felt like water!  It’s super, super soft and lightweight.  There is no scent of anything sweet, which is probably why it last so long on my lips, I’m not nibbling it off!  I don’t know the exact shade I am using, because I’m sure there is a special name for it, but it is a shade of pink.  It’s not an intense color, but I still saw it on my lips.  Even after it wore off, my lips were still soft.  I put it on yesterday evening and my lips still feel moisturized.  To bad I’m not kissing anyone, but that’s a whole other story on a totally different type of website/blog!

It isn’t addicting, as I’ve heard other glosses and moisturizers can sometimes make you feel.  I did notice the first time I put it on that it peeled the dry skin from your lips. Nothing painful.  I rubbed it off and put more on, everything was fine.

This past weekend we  attended the The Beauty Rebellion Launch Party that we were incessantly tweeting, and of course we had an amazing time to say the least (please show them your support for cruelty-free beauty).  We were greeted by these fabulous promo girls who handed us one of the best drinks I’ve tried in a long time–Neuro!

Last week Rahiel and I attended the Step Up Women’s Network event at the Sky Bar in the Mondrian Hotel (one of L.A.’s top hotel destinations), and finally the Ron Robinson pop up shop was open!  It was definitely beautifully curated with a great collection of high-end beauty and fashion items. Amongst the great items sold in the shop was the Zikmu by Parrot by Stark that I reviewed a while back, gorge House of Harlow necklaces, Missoni towels, Kiehl’s beauty, and other fabulous stuff! There’s supposed to be custom-designed Pamela Love t-shirts created exclusively for Mondrian ($25), but I didn’t see them, and I was looking forward to it.  Sad face.

Yes, I Gotta Have S’more! This is another twitter find through a follow friday.  It’s a new spin on your childhood favorite.  I think it’s a sophisticated take on the yummy S’more with out all the mess.  The mess was fun when you were younger or camping, but maybe not so much when entertaining!

I contacted Carmen of Gotta Have S’more and she gladly gave us a variety box of 4 S’muffins!  I went on over to Platine Cookies in Culver City to pick them up.  I looked at them and didn’t know what to expect.  I tried them over the next few days.  Which is odd because normally I would inhale desserts, like those, whole.

The first one I tried was the milk chocolate S’muffin.  It was in the fridge so I left it out for a few minutes before devouring it!  They are all really really good.  I know, you’re probably thinking what the hell is a S’muffin and what makes it so special.  It is graham cracker on the bottom, roasted marshmallow on top, and what ever is on top is in the middle.  If you see a piece of milk chocolate on top it’s also hiding in the middle of the graham cracker.  Each S’muffin is also dipped in dark chocolate, except the cookies in creme, which is dipped in white chocolate.

The other 3 flavors in my variety box were caramel, dark chocolate, and cookies & creme.  With these three, I ate them warmed up in the microwave until the marshmallow started to rise.  I prefer the marshmallow a little gooey, so warming them was better for me.

This is our second post on Vi-Derm and they are not disappointing.  I personally couldn’t use Vi-Derm because I don’t need to use  anti-aging treatments just quit yet, I’m 24 : ) .  So I enlisted the help of my mother.  Some background on her is that she never, ever wears make-up and has never had any procedures done.  On Sundays I can usually find her in the kitchen mixing special concoctions for her face.  Some of those ingredients include, sour cream, oatmeal, honey, curry, and some other “top secret” spice that she doesn’t want to reveal!
