FEELING FRISKY WITH SOME PEPPERMINT PASSION

I am talking about The Joy of Soap, what else did you think I was talking about?  The Joy of Soap makes organic and natural handmade soaps with sustainable grown ingredients.  They strive to be environmentally conscious in everything they do.  From where ingredients are purchased, wrapping and shipping materials, and in their business operations, they try to do what’s right for you and the world.

I love a good name and their products have some pretty interesting ones, check them out here.  I got a chance to try Feeling Frisky and Peppermint Passion.  I tried both at the same time so I can compare the two better.  I was expecting a burst of scents in the shower since I used them together and I was wrong.

I lathered up with Feeling Frisky first.  Yes, I was alone in the shower, in case you were wondering!  It felt wonderful and smooth on my skin.  I thought the scent would be a little stronger, but it wasn’t at all.  It would be good to share in the shower with a loved one because it isn’t girly and overbearing.

INGREDIENTS: Water, organic olive oil, organic coconut oil, organic palm oil, sodium hydroxide, castor oil, sweet orange, grapefruit essential oils, and calendula flower petals.

Second up, Peppermint Passion.  The first thing that came to my mind was Winter fresh gum!  It smells amazing, minty and sweet.  This one also felt smooth, because it has some of the same ingredients as Feeling Frisky.  I smelled this one a little more in the shower, but still not that strong of a scent.

INGRDIENTS: Water, organic olive oil, organic coconut oil, organic palm oil, sodium hydroxide, castor oil, peppermint essential oil, spearmint essential oil, kaolin, and spearmint leaves.

After the shower, before I moisturized, my skin did feel different than it usually does.  It didn’t feel dry so soon.  It felt as if I had already put lotion on.  For a 5oz bar it is $7.50 and for a 2oz bar it is $3.50.  The square shape makes it easy to hold in the shower.  It looks like it would last for a long time  but to keep it lasting longer keep it dry between uses.

Cant wait to try the creams, scrubs, and cleaners, which are coming this Spring.  I wonder how it will leave my face feeling…

Pros: Feels good, smooth skin after, and smells good.

Cons: Scent not as strong as I would love to have it.
