BadJoan.com is an online sample sale, selling overstock from indie designers.  The prices are reduced tremendously, at up to 80% off.  On the site you can find dresses, tops, bottoms, outerwear, swimwear, shoes, and accessories.  It was hard for me to picture what the garment will look like because the site uses mannequins.  But that’s with almost every online store you shop from, you are never 100 percent sure until the item comes to your doorstep and you try it on. The good thing about BadJoan.com is that they don’t sell their own merchandise, it consist of other brands.  So if you are familiar with the brands that are on the site, you should not be surprised with what you get.

Although I think the discounted prices are amazing, I also think the story behind Bad Joan is just as great.  After the owner contacted us to do a review and we did a little research, I found out that BadJoan.com was started as a last resort, for owner Brooke Wilen, to pay her bills.  When she was having difficulties with her own clothing company she decided to close up shop and sell all her overstock at 80% off.  Which led to the creation of Bad Joan, as an outlet of sorts, for other small businesses to sell their overstock as well as gain exposure.

I purchased a grey Eldwood Chickie Tee for $19.99, original price was $95.00.  After tax and shipping (flat rate 4.99) the total was $25.84.  I ordered on a Thursday afternoon and my shipment was processed the next day and arrivied on a Monday.
