DO YOU KINDLE?
I am in love with my Amazon Kindle. It is the second generation with keyboard, and I have had it for over two years now. Let me tell you why I am glad I made this purchase. I do a lot of reading for pleasure; and I enjoy reading more than one book at a time. Also, what I read depends upon my mood, so I need variety and I need for it to be readily available.
For example, currently I am reading both Dostoyevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov, and E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey. I also enjoy reading periodicals. I have them all on my Kindle. So whether I am in the mood for more cerebral reading, modern smut, or The Atlantic monthly, they are all in one place. This is really beneficial when traveling, as I can get rather bored with just one form of reading material on a flight. But having the option to switch it up and read a magazine, poetry, or another kind of book, keeps me occupied.
The Kindle is smaller than even one book, but it holds up to 1400 books! And all of my content is automatically backed up in the cloud, so I do not have to worry about losing my books. This reader has built in Wi-Fi, so I can connect to the web and download books, periodicals, etc. via any hotspot in 60 seconds. Now in my opinion, if you have wireless internet at home, then you do not need to spend the extra cash on the 3G Kindle. The plus side to having the 3G version is that it allows you to download your content, whether you have access to Wi-Fi or not. Lastly, once I download content onto my Kindle, it can be read pretty much anywhere: iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, Android, Mac, or PC.
Now that Amazon is offering the third generation Kindle Touch, I am itching to buy my new Kindle!
