It has been two weeks and I am excited to announce that I love using the newest dry shampoo formula by Privé.  I have used a few other hair styling products from this brand, but I am most impressed and excited to tell you about the Volumizing Dry Shampoo ($29).

I have a tendency to wash my hair less frequently than I’d like to, but using Privé’s dry shampoo makes it possible to be a bit more diligent!  I wash my hair 4-5 times per week, and on my off “wash hair” days I’ve been using this product.  First, I comb out my dry hair, then I take the bottle and shake it well, raise it eight inches above my head, target my roots, and spray away.  After I let the product sit for about three minutes, I brush my hair and style as usual.

I am picky about the products I use on my hair, but this dry shampoo goes on clear, doesn’t harm my color, and smells great.  It is sulfate free and does not contain other harmful ingredients such as sodium chloride or talc.

The compact 4.2 oz. bottle is convenient and can easily be stowed away in my overnight bag, purse or gym bag.  I also find it quite useful after a greasy/oily day at the office – I can whip out the Privé and be perfectly refreshed for happy hour with friends.

I recommend making this product a beauty bag essential!

Ingredients: Isobutane, Propane, Dimethylimidazolidinone Rice Starch, Alchohol Denat, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Isopropyl Myristate, Magnesium Carbonate, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Acrylates Copolymer, Cyclopentasiloxane, VP/VA Copolymer, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Panthenol, AMP-Isostearoyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Iron Oxides (CI 77492), Fragrance (Parfum), Linalool, Benzyl Salicylate.

Pros: Made with ginkgo, green tea and soy protein; sulfate free; compact; great results.
Cons: The price is rather high for such a small bottle.
